How is this acceptable conduct. How can McCain address reporters and the American public and say that he is PROUD of his campaign or the RNC (who is evidently responsible for the mailer) and these tactics.
I hope people will consider that the conduct that has been displayed by John McCain in this campaign is neither Christian nor Presidential. If he is elected President, he instantly becomes reflective of the values that you and I supposedly hold true. I will not stand for a good, honest American and a true Statesman to be called (directly or indirectly) a terrorist. I will not be part of electing someone who will stoop so low and treat people with so little dignity and respect. I hope and pray that the “Christian” Right will see through this degrading and erratic behavior that John McCain has continued to exhibit and support the man who has the capacity to bring disparate groups together and lead us to a state of Global Harmony and Peace.

And look at the number of blog posts about this mailer. People are upset, John McCain, and I am one of them. I used to respect and admire you. I thought I could vote for you. No way. No how. Not with a gun pointed at my head.

What? Are you serious? What about what is being done to Sarah Palin? What about the adds put out by the Obama team? What has Barack done for our country anyhow? Are you praying for guidance in this election? A gun held to your head? Wow! Quite honestly, I’m shocked by your remarks. John McCain has served our country, dedicated and risked his life for our country. Barack has a wife who is just now proud to be an American? Am I missing something? Barack has been associated with a known terrorists, so yest this is a concern. He has also been known to affiliate with people of Fanny Mae and Freddy Mac that were doing illegal dealings. Should we not be concerned about this?

John McCain is a lying criminal stooge with a pudding brain and a bad temper. He will usher this country into the darkest of days (yes, worse than the Shrub’s destruction).
He cannot hide the fact that he provided war propaganda for the enemy in Vietnam, colluded with the S&L Keating-5 criminals, covered up MIA/POW inquiries, and is an unrepentant war mongerer.

I am not constantly being bombarded with this level of negativity from the DNC and certainly not from Senator Obama. Perhaps you didn’t read the comment where I stated that I used to respect and admire Senator McCain. I respect and admire the service he has given in the past to America through his military service and as a Senator, but I’m talking about the here and now.
I am horrified to be hearing about Palin blow up dolls and the like, but I’m not addressing the issue of consumer profiteering at the expense of our politicians. All of them deserve to be treated with respect – or at least as much respect as they are willing to give to others.
Johnny, I do not share your opinion of McCain though my husband may… dunno. I do hope that if McCain is elected that he will do better job for our country than W has done. He’ll have to, I imagine.
